Our Chat room is actually a private video conferencing reflector site. If you have a sound card and a camera attached to your computer you can take full advantage of this service to meet other members of BC Singles Net. If you don't have all the necessary equipment, you can still participate as the CU-SeeMe (tm) "starter" software allows you to connect and use your keyboard to communicate with others on the system. The full version of this software with a lot off enhancements is: Enhanced CU-SeeMe for Mac and CU-SeeMe Pro for Windows users.
How it works:
Ideally you will have a sound card, a microphone (if it's not already built-into the camera), speakers, a color (or grayscale) CCD-Camera with a video-capture card (e.g. Winnov ConferencePro PCI) and WhitePine CU-SeeMePro (tm) Video-Conferencing Software.
If you don't have all of the equipment yet, you may still want to download the CU-SeeMe (tm) "starter" software since you can still view other members and communicate with your keyboard.
